Do you remember what it was like to learn to ride a bike, and they told you it’s something you’d never forget?

The City is looking to make changes that will get more people cycling in Calgary. Creating a comprehensive cycling strategy is the first step in making Calgary a bicycle-friendly city for all to enjoy – whether to commute to work or school, run errands or just for the joy of it.

As directed by City Council, the strategy will lay out actions and targets for the short, medium and long term. It will be presented to City Council in May of 2011, and put us well on our way to creating a place where cycling can be a choice for more Calgarians.

We’re looking for citizen volunteers to provide input into this strategy. Learn more
