West LRT Update - Sirocco Bus Terminal Closing - Effective October 8, 2012

October 02, 2012 9:25 AM | Leann Hackman-Carty

On October 8, 2012 the Sirocco bus terminal will close and some bus routes in the area will be re-routed to 69 Street S.W.  The closure will allow the Sirocco Park and Ride to be restored and expanded in preparation for the opening of the West LRT.

During this time, limited parking will still be available at Sirocco Park and Ride.  Limited parking will also be available at the 69 Street Park and Ride.  Transit customers are encouraged to walk, bike or take a bus to the 69 Street bus terminal.

The bus routes that will be affected include routes 301, 401, 439, 453 and 456.

There will be no changes to routes 2, 53, 67 and 438.  New route maps are available on calgarytransit.com/westlrt

Rider’s Guide brochures are also available that contain all of the route changes and parking maps.  The Rider’s Guides will be available on the local buses, handed out at Sirocco Park and Ride and available on the Calgary Transit website.   I have attached an electronic version.

These new bus routes will be in effect until the West LRT opens.
