Neighbour Day started in June 2014 to celebrate the incredible outpouring of support and generosity neighbours demonstrated after the 2013 floods. We want to continue to celebrate one of the things that makes Calgary such a great city — our strong and caring communities. Neighbour Day now provides the opportunity for Calgarians to celebrate our community spirit, kindness and resilience through the pandemic.
CHPH is going to mark Neighbour Day with a Community Clean Up on Saturday, June 19th 2021. Take part in tidying up our community and for a chance to win a prize - 4 Calaway Park Season Passes for 2021.
Here is how you can take part:
Choose an area in the Coach Hill-Patterson Heights community that needs to be cleaned up.
Head out with your friends and family and carefully collect litter in a garbage bag
Take a picture of your completed clean up
Once finished, place the garbage bag next to a City garbage bin* (no household garbage accepted)
Send the photo of the litter you collected to president@chph.ca. Include the area that you cleaned up, your name, and your contact details. Also, let us know which City garbage bin your litter picking bag is left at so we can let the City know to pick them up.
